The Approach
Design based on research
The app is developed on deep research on Pulmunary Fibrois as well as Interned Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iCBT). Just like regular CBT, the patients get daily tasks to expose themselves to the things that they are struggling with due to their illness.Cross functional collaboration
In this project I worked closely together with Psychologists, UX designers, and Developers, to design and build branding and UI design for Almee.
Design for an elderly user
As the primary users are people in their 60's and up, the design needed to be simple yet welcoming with a touch of playfulness to engage the users to use the app daily. For the branding and visual look, a light and playful look and feel would encourage the patients to use the app as a part of their daily routine, but without feeling like the medical device that it is.
